The game is fun and very relaxing, but it suffers from severe progression issues after a few hours. You can move from basic tools to vehicles so quickly that later brush upgrades feel pointless. A Moon with over 160,000 sectors sounds huge, but the upgrade and building systems are not built for that scale.

The first hour or two is pretty good. There is a clear increase in how fast you can sweep. Then it hits a hard plateau where no more upgrades can be acquired. It misses the mark as an incremental, base-building, and automation game.

Ignore older complaints about separate multiplayer upgrades. The developers shipped a patch so the host’s upgrades apply to the whole crew. It is still an excessively large task even with max upgrades, but the co-op balance is fairer.

The game is fun. There are still some technical and quality-of-life issues, but the experience stays enjoyable if you like this kind of game.

The small development team responded almost immediately and fixed one of the only issues: multiplayer upgrades. Support them by buying this relaxing game.

Amazing. It scratched the itch. Must keep sweeping. Upgrades should be shared, especially the sell-percentage bonuses. Other than that, the game is still incredible.

There are a lot of separate mechanics, and all of them are shallow. You can have the best broom and vehicle before you have cleaned 0.1%. Automation has four buildings and a bunch of belts. The automated cleaners are expensive and slow.

This game is almost really good. Sweeping the entire moon is addicting, but it is missing a lot. Upgrades do not feel very impactful. Even at the end, solo progress is so slow it could take weeks. A monumental task is fine. The progression does not feel right.

English translation. I do not have many friends, and I was lucky to find this game. After three hours I had to leave a good review. Thank you for letting me, after a tiring day, spend money to go 380,000 km to the Moon and keep working. I have never been happier: humanity can land on the Moon, and my most advanced tool is a toothbrush, given free at the start. That makes it slightly easier than prison, where I hear you have to apply for a toothbrush. After three hours I lost track of time. Every finished patch still has endless dust beyond it, so the work never loses meaning. Each upgrade feels like it will end the labor, then I realize higher output just means more labor. I suggest toothbrush durability, a stamina bar, workplace injuries, a minimum daily shift, and performance reviews. After eight hours of sweeping, randomly trigger carpal tunnel and slow the player down. Time off should need a form to the Lunar Cleaning Department, approved in 30 business days.

English translation. The loop is too short and there are too few tech items. The team clearly never played the game all the way through.

English translation. The 20,000 robot moves and cleans almost exactly like the 250 sweeper. It crawls, spends about 70% of its time pathfinding, sweeps a little, then wanders off. One sector can take ten minutes. A basic broom beats it, let alone driving. With a maxed vehicle I have only cleaned 600 sectors. At that rate, 160,000 sectors will not be done in a hundred hours.

English translation. Solo play is miserable. An incremental game has to let you grow in the early hours. Hauling dust with the starter tool, trip after trip, earns a dozen dollars while the tool list costs hundreds. I tried to edit in a few thousand dollars with Cheat Engine. The game has anti-cheat, and editing the money in the save does not work either. A small thirty-yuan game should not spend its effort on balance checks and anti-tamper. Personal insults in the original are omitted.

English translation. Lots of problems. Upgrades are too expensive and stay useful for too short a time, so the game punishes buying them and rewards stretching the same tool. Buildings cannot be moved, demolition returns 75%, and the save system blocks reloading, so moving a building means losing money. Robots, including the 20,000 model, clean at under 5% of one player, so the loop of robot, money, more robots does not work. The day-night cycle lasts a full hour.

English translation. It is relaxing, but the problems pile up. The toothbrush camera makes me dizzy: holding the sweep button should move the brush, not swing the view. There is no move-building option, and demolition has no confirm. The endgame robot pad cannot be built on after the robot leaves. The two production machines cannot be ratioed; mergers do not alternate, so one side starves. A dust capsule got stuck in the stone press and could not be picked up. Pressing E once dumps the whole brush. There is no tool to store moon sand when you rebuild a line, so you carry every capsule by hand.

English translation. It is a relaxing incremental, but the controls are annoying. Hand tools make you dizzy until you reach the garage. Vehicle sounds are so loud I turn effects down. Day and night last too long, with no clock, so a dead power grid means waiting for sunrise. The hammer claims to move buildings and does not, so you demolish and rebuild with no money to experiment. Splitters and mergers need too much space. Only moon dust goes in the hopper, so dismantling a belt dumps everything, including rocks you have to carry one by one. The idea is good. The later game is not friendly to solo play. I would come back if it is fixed.

English translation. It feels like a sentence. The first 30 minutes are fine, the first hour is a small high, and at two hours you start automation full of hope. Then it does not automate. You drive a very slow sweeper, spend minutes filling it, and drive back to sell. The best processed good is only seven times the base dust, processing needs solar power, and day and night last an hour. Money only builds more of the same. I wanted full automation, fast sweeping, drones, more upgrades. This feels like a 30-minute game stretched a hundred times. Even a full crew of 16 would not feel good.

I bought this game and it is in my library, but every launch says Moon Sweepers requires Steam. A friend can run the same game on the same account. Restarting Steam, verifying files, switching networks, and reinstalling did not help. Please fix this Steamworks authentication bug.

What those reviews actually argue about

People searching clean the moon are not looking for a chore list. They saw a toothbrush on a grey landscape and want the game behind the clip. That game is Moon Sweepers, from DragDrop Games, on Windows via Steam. You start with one brush, sell the dust, and work up to brooms, vehicles, and a small factory.

The helpful reviews split on whether that climb lasts. Positive ones call it relaxing and say the two-person studio patched the worst co-op problem: upgrades now follow the host, so a crew does not each buy the same broom. Negative ones say the climb ends too soon. Several players with 8 to 20 hours report the best broom and a vehicle long before 1% of the surface is clean, then a plateau where more money does not buy a faster way to finish.

The size is the other argument. Players cite roughly 160,000 sectors. That is why a 12-hour video can still say the moon is under 1% clean. If you want a short campaign, this is the wrong job. If you want a long, visible sweep with friends, the store page is the place to buy it. This site is not DragDrop Games or Valve, and these quotes are excerpts, not the full reviews.
